Knox Field, raised in the south downs of West Sussex and inspired by the mentorship of a seasoned animal sculptor in the UK, was driven to pursue a career in fine art bronze sculpture at the age of 15.

Following his artistic pursuits, Knox joined Lockbund Fine Art Casting Foundry in Oxfordshire. Here he honed his skills for three years as a metal chaser. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in the fine art casting process, as well as expertise in welding, formwork, and patination—a set of invaluable skills for his chosen craft.

Venturing into a solo career after his time at the foundry, Knox has since endeavoured to create his own distinctive style. He accepts private commissions for animals of varying sizes and species, has secured positions in galleries across the UK, and actively participates in shows, competitions, and art auctions. His most exciting recent move has been his entrance into the world of large public works.

Looking ahead, Knox envisions a more location-based experience for his artistic endeavours. He plans to travel to conservation areas worldwide, drawing inspiration from local wildlife to create unique works of art. His aim is to showcase these creations in the UK, marking the next chapter in his evolving career as an esteemed animal sculptor.
